THE CHALLENGE: To adapt the Web infrastructure of
one a major European manufacturer of bathroom ceramics, which is present
in 17 countries, to the technology strategy of its new owner, reducing
training costs for content management personnel.
THE SOLUTION: To migrate all the Web sites and their
contents to a new system based on J2EE standards, while
maintaining the end user experience and providing a
content management tool with an interface similar to
the previous one.
THE RESULT: A multiple language, multi-market system
that allows people in charge of Communication in the
each market to update product and marketing information
in a decentralized fashion, and provide an interactive
display of all products, SKUs, graphical resources
and distributors, extracting needed data from legacy
